Adaptive websites for Link’s properties across mainland China
Managed by Link Asset Management Limited, Link REIT is the first Real Estate Investment Trust listed in Hong Kong which has now developed into a leading retail-focused REIT in the world. Link invests and manages a diversified portfolio comprising retail facilities, car parks and offices. Headquartered in Hong Kong, Link’s properties are located in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, London and Sydney. Link's Mainland China portfolio consists of five properties across four tier-one cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, which comprises four retail facilities and one office building.
We are pleased to be endowed with the task of designing both the corporate site and the sites for individual malls and office buildings. We have made use of many elements extracted from Link’s corporate identity, including shapes, colours and patterns, with a slight touch of playfulness created by the animated wave on the hero banner. The site for office buildings displays all essential information on the front page, which makes everything easily accessible for prospective tenants.
Meanwhile, the shopping mall websites are crafted in a way that’s adaptive to how information is handled by Link’s team in mainland China. One prominent example is the event pages, where pages are designed to adapt to vertical web banners normally created by Link’s shopping malls in mainland China, which can be easily adapted into thumbnails which makes content management easier. We’ve meanwhile made social sharing quickly accessible for the audience by placing, for example, WeChat codes that pop up when hovered. We have also created shopping directories that are easily searchable by category. The sites are made future-proof in a way that they can be adapted easily for all existing shopping malls and potentially some new ones in the future.
